We are proud to welcome Akbar Nawas to Hougang United as our new Technical Director.
Akbar is one of Singapore’s most respected football minds, with strong regional experience. He spent three years in India, where he successfully guided a club to become champions and also led Cebu FC in the Philippines as Head Coach. His recent work in Thailand with top-tier clubs adds to his deep understanding of ASEAN football.
“Akbar is no stranger to the regional football scene. His international experience and leadership will be key in raising the standards at Hougang.”
His appointment brings discipline, structure, and a winning mindset to all levels of the club. With full support from the management, Akbar will play a vital role in strengthening our technical development, regional partnerships, and player pathways.
