Hougang United welcomes former Croatian U17 defender, Durica Zuparic, to our club.
Durica last played for NK Marsonija in Croatian third division. He will replace all-time fan favourite, Mamadou Diallo, in the Cheetah’s line up. Durica was also featured in the last friendly fixture against Woodlands and scored the Cheetah’s second goal from a corner. Welcome to Hougang, Durica!

We are pleased to announce that our client, Durica Zuparic, has signed for S-League side, Hougang United Football Club, for the 2014 season.
The former Croatian U-17 defender impressed in a trial game against Woodlands Wellington on Sunday, 9 February 2014. Durica not only put in an astute performance in defence but also capped it with a fine individual goal which began from his interception in midfield.
“I feel great and relieved to earn this golden opportunity to play outside of Europe. The situation for football in my country is bad since the sport is largely controlled by mafia. I have heard many good things about Asian and Singapore football from my Croatian friends so this is a dream come true for me.
