HOUGANG UNITED 1
GEYLANG INTERNATIONAL 2
It was a final minute heartbreak, when the Eagles got their winning goal deep into injury time, to down the Cheetahs 1-2 at Hougang Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The Cheetahs had already one of their best Prime League seasons so far – finishing a respectable fifth position after finishing bottom last season.
Hougang had started strongly in the game, but were unfortunately down in the 29th minute.
However, Nurhilmi Jasni managed to make his mark in the game in the 41st minute. The winger, returning after almost a month absence, managed to slot in the equalizer with nine minutes remaining.
However, all hopes to earn any points in the game were diminished after the Eagles managed to find the winning goal.
The Cheetahs end the season in fifth position with 32 points.
