The Cheetahs will take on one of their hardest test this season – with the visit of DPMM FC at Hougang Stadium on Wednesday night.

It will be their second game in three days – with their rescheduled game against Tampines Rovers just concluded on Sunday. Johana Johari’s charges will be well prepared for a much harder opponents from Brunei.

They were unlucky to be defeated on Sunday, after holding out for 70 minutes – only to be defeated by an excellent player from the S.League, Alexander Duric. Two awesome header, plus a great assist from the evergreen Singapore striker managed to topple the stout Hougang defence.

DPMM will be no pushover either, from how the Cheetahs found out during the corresponding fixture back in March. The Cheetahs were down 3-1 on 54 minutes, however comeback goals by Mamadou Diallo and Syaqir Sulaiman stunned the partisan home crowd at the Hassanal Bolkiah Stadium and managed to bring home a point for the Cheetahs.

The main man that the Cheetahs would watch out is Joao Moreira. The former Portugal U-21 winger have played alongside Nani and Cristiano Ronaldo with the Portugal Youth team and is a constant threat for the Cheetahs’ defence. Currently the leading scorer for the Wasps, the Cheetahs must stop the Portugese at all fronts and also limit his supplies to the lone frontman Shahrazen Said.

With the robust defender Faizal Amir probably back after a suspension, the Cheetahs will be back with their first choice defensive wall, and would be looking to find another stunning result against a struggling Wasps, who have produced indifferent results this time round.
