The last derby clash of the season saw the Protectors making the trip down to Jalan Besar Stadium.

The crucial save ensured the home side stays in the game as Faris Ramli gave us the lead in the 74th minute when Arshad Shamim brought Faris Ramli down in the box. The Cheetahs’ leading top scorer makes no mistake from the spot and converted.

Iqbal Hussain, whom earlier came on, despatch Nikesh’s pass to kill off the game when he slotted the ball home.

The win was a important boost to the home side after their draw against Albirex Niigata on Tuesday.
