Hougang United have signed striker Fareez Farhan from Garena Young Lions.
The 22-year-old former Singapore U-22 returns to familiar grounds bringing along a resume of 8 goals and 3 assists in 21 S.League appearances, making him the highest local-born finisher for S.League 2016.
Fareez began his career at the a tender age of 17 debuting for Gombak United in mid April 2011 and then spent 2 years at Young Lions before National Service came knocking in 2013.
In 2016, after a season spell at Hougang United, he rejoined Young Lions where he enjoyed an in-formed season.
Thriving under the responsibility of guiding an inexperienced Young Lions outfit and training alongside Singapore centurion Khairul Amri, his all-round game has been emphatically polished.
Blessed with speed and the ability of arriving late in the box to convert chances, Fareez will rival Iqbal Hussain and Antoine Viterale for the marksman spot.
Fareez Farhan’s message to fans and supporters,
“I’m very happy to be back and I can’t wait to excite the crowd with what I have. Please come to the stadium to support me & my team for the upcoming S.League season! 1H1H.”
