HGFC@Fanblog: “A Letter from a new fan”

shahgoncangFrom: Muhammad Shah Bin Dewanan

Dear Hougang and the fans,

I am Muhammad Shah Bin Dewanan. I am currently stay at Sims Drive which is at Aljunied.I am schooling at Yishun Secondary School. I am currently getting to know about the S.League, due to the upcoming interest that are generated by fans of the S.League clubs, and the “ultras wave” that is spreading into the league.

So basically, I had know a bit more about Hougang Utd since last year due to the constant advertisements by their beloved fans, the HOOLS, and also I have been following Mr Robert Eziakor since his days in the NFL.

I am beginning to like the new colours of the home and away kits, as being a teenager, I certainly like bright colours. However, as a football club, I duly understand that it is best to stay on their primary club colours; orange and black, for a sense of identity and belonging to the team and fans.In addition, I hope that the merchandise, especially the home and away, will be easily available to fans, and also wish the sizes could vary to fit all fans of different sizes. This will encourage fans to come down to the Hougang Stadium and “paint” the stadium orange and black one day.

I also get to know that Hougang Hools has a Youtube page that promotes their cheers and I hope other fan clubs would follow suit too, to market their club. And also it would be nice to provide more updates in regards of season ticket package, or the daily tickets sales.

To end this letter, I wish more fans would come down to Hougang Stadium, to support the Cheetahs and I wish the Cheetahs the best for the upcoming S.League season.
