The 183cm tall defender has joined the Cheetahs for the 2020 season. Though the Singapore Premier League is currently suspended, the latest addition will further strengthen the defensive line of the team.
Emmeric has recovered from an injury sustained last year, and is eager to put it all behind him. “I aim to get back to full fitness and to push for a spot in the team when the league resume.”
“The team has done very well last term and with the squad we have this year, I expect us to be up there challenging in every competition,” he added.
After spending 5 years with Warriors FC, the 29-year-old is looking forward to re-join the Hougang-based Club. “I feel great to back to where I started my professional career after 9 long years. Hougang has always been my hometown club and I feed proud to be able to represent them again.”
Emmeric also wants to show his appreciation to the supporters. “Hougang Hools have always been right behind me even after I left the Club midway through 2011. They have evolved and the fan base has grow ever since. I can’t wait to be back on the pitch knowing they’ll always be there cheering the team on.”
