1. I know I wanted to be a footballer when

When I was seven years old. My older Brother Diallo Abdoulaye Djibril had become a professional footballer in our local league. I looked up to him and he inspired me to be a footballer.

If I wasn’t a footballer, I’d like to be a model. I find the experience of being infront of the camera quite fun.

2. I got my big break on the field

In 2007 when a football coach spotted me playing in a friendly match for AS Ashanti.

In November 2008, I went on trial at Sengkang Punggol Football Club and was given a contract to play for the club in the Prime League in 2009. In July 2012, I was given a new contract to play in the S.League.

3. Something that only my close friends know is

I will not watch horror movies – at all. If I go out with my friends and they buy tickets to a horror movie, I won’t go in with them. I’d rather go home.

4. My food heaven and hell

I love mutton. I must eat mutton rice at least once a day, either for lunch and dinner. I also like prata.

Food hell is kway teow soup. I tried it once and I didn’t like it. Unless I’m starving, I won’t eat it.

5. My secret “vice” is

I cannot live without watching television. I am a TV addict. I can watch any programme, but I prefer watching wrestling or football documentaries such as the history of football.

Watching wrestling on television is much better that being a wrestler. I don’t want to be thrown around.

When I am not on the field, I’m often watching television or catching movies with my friends. I like action thrillers.
