Striker Iqbal Hussain has signed a contract extension that will keep him in Hougang United till next year. The 23-year-old forward has been a bright spark for the Cheetahs in the S.League with his pace, creativity and goals, scoring 4 in 18 league appearances despite National Service commitments and earning an S.League Goal of the Year nomination along the way.
He eventually finished 2016 with six goals, eight assists and appearing 24 times in all competitions. He joins roommate and best friend Anumathan into next season’s squad.
