The Cheetahs will be playing their final fixture of Round 2, when they take on crosstown rivals Home United at Bishan Stadium on Thursday evening.

Seperated by just a few kilometres away, the Cheetahs and the Protectors will be contesting their second Northeastern derby this season. Their previos meeting was back in May, when the Cheetahs stunned the Protectors 1-0 in Hougang. A memorable but rare Thomas Beattie screamer making a difference between the two sides.

The Cheetahs now sit in the danger zone of second from bottom, four points away from DPMM, who occupy the last safety zone. They would want to grab every opportunity to get out of the unwanted position, and would go all out for this fixture, following a victory over Harimau Muda last month.

The Protectors will be missing their influential man upfront. Indra Sahdan out for the season, following a broken leg suffered during international duty against Hong Kong. However, they have quite a good forward line upfront, with former Cheetah Jordan Webb banging in all the goals.

Home would also want to take revenge on their previous defeat last time round, and also prepare for their Championship play off, in which they have the opportunity to win the league, eventhough they are current twelve points adrift from leaders Tampines Rovers.

The Cheetahs will be gearing for a rare double over their northeastern rivals, their first in their history, with a victory over Home United. Don’t forget to come down to Bishan Stadium on Thursday for this exciting clash!!
