Congratulations on signing for the Cheetahs for this season. Tell me how do you feel when Hougang first called you and offered you a contract?
RCE: I felt happy to be part of the Hougang setup for this season and can’t wait for the new season to start.
So, have you settled in with your new team mates?
RCE: We are still in process of adapting with each other as some are new to Singapore football.
You are the leading scorer in pre season so far. Seems like you settled in well with Diallo as your striking partner.
How well did you and Diallo form a good partnership in the short time?
RCE: I watched him for some time and since both of us are from Africa, we have the same mindset and the way we play our football
How do you find the Hougang HOOLS, the fans that have been a consistent turnout to sing for the team for the past three years??
RCE: They are amazing. Never in my life been in a team with their fans having great passion for football and wild support all the way especially in Singapore Football. Very exceptional.
Sporting Afrique was your first foray in Singapore football. Then you went down for semi pro football in the NFL for four years.
How is it making a step up back to the S.League again after six years?
RCE:For long it had been hard for me to come back due to inconsistency due to my on and off professional career and getting fit to compete in a professional league.
Since Hougang have called me up and gave me a wonderful opportunity, I have devoted my time in training to get back to be fit for the professional league.
Last Question. What are the expectations of yourself and Hougang for this season?
RCE: For Hougang I want us to do well and be in a reasonable position at the end of the season. For myself, being a striker, I would bang in goals for the Cheetahs and climb up the scoring charts.
