HOUGANG UNITED SIGN YOUNG STRIKER ANTOINE VITERALE

Cheetahs sign 20-year-old French-Italian forward Antoine Viterale after the youngster enjoyed a successful trial with the club.

Antoine who holds an Italian passport was born in Hong Kong and had began his teenage career with the Kitchee FC youth academy. He has played in various training camps and clubs in Italy, Switzerland and Singapore where he spent most of his youth and is now a resident here.

In 2012, he signed for Swiss side FC Lugano U-18 and in the following season got his big break in Spain with RDC Espanyol, where at only 16 years old, he was signed on to be part of the youth team in the summer of 2013.

At the age of 18, he moved from La Liga to Serie A to join A.C Chievo Verona’s U-19 squad before heading for a spell at Hellas Verona in 2015.

In September this year, the 1.80m tall striker followed Hougang United to a training stint in Negri Sembilan where he was featured playing against MISC-MIFA and DRB Hicom, scoring twice in both games. He also furthered his training with the Garena Young Lions towards the end of 2016.

Hougang United welcomes Antoine Viterale into our 2017 S.League campaign.

Antoine Viterale’s message to fans and supporters,

“It is with great pleasure and honour to join Hougang United. Competition will be fierce but I promise to bring my best game to the pitch and demonstrate 110% effort for every match. Thank you for all your support. It means a lot to me. I look forward to seeing you in 2017.”
