On Friday, the COE U-18s faced Warriors FC at Serangoon Stadium. The Cheetahs fought hard, but only managed to grab a point in a goalless draw against the Young Warriors. With that, the Young Cheetahs managed to grab four points in two games.
The COE U-14s game vs Balestier Khalsa was supposed to be held at Hougang Stadium on Saturday afternoon. However, due to the Lighning Warning System being activated prior before the game, the game was cancelled after both teams were being made to wait for an hour. It was the second game in the row which Azlan Alipah’s boys’ games had to be postponed due to adverse weather.
Yao Pei Kang’s boys from the COE U-16 had a better luck on Sunday afternoon. The boys fought hard against Woodlands Wellington at Jurong Stadium and managed all three points and their first victory of the season. The game was going towards a goalless draw when a two minute goal blitz from Sharmizie (no.24) and Nashrullah (no.3) grabbed the important goals and sealed all three points. Yao Peikang’s boys have three points from two games, following last week’s last minute goal disappointment.
